Daddy Daughter Dance 2012

Kailie and Daddy had a wonderful time at the annual Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday night! Kailie even let me doll her up with curls and hairspray (okay, I bribed her but still) and she was so excited to go that she was putting on different dresses hours before it was time to get ready thinking if she was ready they would leave early. Last year she was not quite sure what to think and as some of you will recall, had quite the frown in the pictures they had taken. Kailie says she smiled this year, so we'll have to see when they arrive in the mail in a couple of weeks.

I had a dinner date with Jaron, my friend Emily and her baby at Panera and then we hung out at her house until they got home. Then all the girls wanted to play so they stayed up a little late and we drove home with two very sleepy kiddos! Kailie didn't dance too much during the structured dancing time, but ran around the house doing the chicken dance and the YMCA, which Jeff says she just stared at everyone doing while they were there. What can I say, she like to observe and process new things first.

They had fun and it's a sweet treat and tradition for Daddy and Kailie to have some special time together. So now when is my turn?
